An artist from an early age, I developed a passion for photography in middle school and got my first camera. Having a keen sense of getting that perfect shot, I began to explore furthering my technical knowledge through books and online resources. I upgraded my equipment over the years as my skill level increased. After 10 years of practicing and learning as a hobby, I started B ShoT Photography in 2010. Networking through word of mouth and social media, B ShoT Photography has continued to grow. Then two years ago I found a blog called The Strobist, which inspired me to begin experimenting with a more creative style of lighting using off camera flash. When I'm not taking pictures, I am a happily married mother of two young children, and I work the midnight shift as an Xray technician in an Emergency room. Fun fact about me, I have donated over 3 feet of hair to Children With Hairloss, and I'm currently growing it out to donate again. Although never formally school trained in photography, through my determination and passion to learn, I have become a skilled self-taught photographer and my body of work speaks for itself.
